Blush & Gold Charleston Wedding

Now that this wedding has been published on The Wedding Row we can finally share it with you! This wedding was very special for us because we met Taryn when she was the maid of honor in another one of our weddings (Megan & Clay). The roles were reversed and Megan was a bridesmaid in Taryn's wedding! It is SO special when we get to see our couples after the wedding, and seeing them in a friends wedding is even better!

Taryn and Mike were living in Lexington during their engagement and decided on Charleston, SC for their wedding. Aiming for a Lowcountry experience for their guests the couple picked Boone Hall Plantation (one of our favs!) for their ceremony and reception. Setting their date for early May they chose a color scheme of blush, gold & greenery. A classic combination that we will NEVER get tired of. Keeping it Lowcountry they choose a BBQ menu from Sticky Fingers- with an array of BBQ sauce choices to keep their guests from all over happy! The rest of this wedding was all Lowcountry! The families of the bride, groom and the bridal party all stayed at houses on Isle of Palms. The couple did their first look along Rainbow Row- a row of pastel colored historic homes just along the Battery of Charleston. A vintage blue bus from Lowcountry Valet picked up the bridal party and dropped them off along the picture perfect avenue of oaks at Boone Hall. The ceremony took place under the draping branches of the oak trees. Cocktail hour took place on the dock over the river at the Cotton Dock and the reception took place inside. It was such a beautiful night
